Dare Days 2011 a great success

OBX Tea Party Booth at Dare Days 2011

It was great meeting so many local conservatives at the Dare Day Festival this year.  We gave away a lot of pocket Constitutions and lots of people were interested to know when we’d be meeting again.  Clearly there is a conservative revolution going on not only in this country and in our state but right here in Dare County.  Thanks to all who stopped by our booth.  We hope to see you on the 21st.

Dare Day Festival Volunteers Needed

The Dare Day Festival is this Saturday, June 4th, on the Manteo Waterfront. OBX Tea Party is looking for a couple of volunteers to help set up and/or staff our booth. This is a fun event. We always meet a lot of new people who are excited to find that there are other conservatives like them on the beach.

If you have a few hours to spare on Saturday, contact me asap. Booth setup starts at 6am and the festival runs from 9am-5pm. No amount of time is too little to volunteer. Only have an hour? No problem. Have a half day? Even better. Contact me asap to schedule your time.

OBX Tea Party Planning Meeting – CANCELLED

Outer Banks Tea Party will hold a Planning Meeting on Tuesday, June 21st, at 6pm at the library in Kill Devil Hills.

Come out and mingle with like-minded conservatives as we plan our strategy for the rest of 2011 going into the 2012 elections. This is an open format meeting where discussion and new ideas are encouraged.

The library is located at 400 Mustian Street in Kill Devil Hills, next to the Baum Center and behind Outer Banks Brewing Station. No RSVP needed. Meetings usually last about an hour and a half.

UPDATE:  MEETING CANCELLED

The meeting scheduled for next week has been cancelled. The guest speaker we were trying to line up for that meeting is unable to come to the beach on the 21st. We are working with her to arrange a new date. The guest speaker is Kathy Hartkopf from FreedomWorks NC. She will speak to us about the important role that the citizen activist can play in the upcoming election cycle.
