Senate District 1 Republican Candidate Bill Cook will speak at our meeting on Thursday, October 4th. The following week, 10/11, will feature House District 6 Republican candidate Mattie Lawson. Both meetings will be held at the Western Sizzlin’ in Kill Devil Hills at 5:30pm.
The Democrat candidates for House and Senate both declined our speaking invitation. If you would like to see the candidates head to head, the League of Women Voters is hosting a candidate forum for the General Assembly candidates on Sunday, October 14 at 2pm at the KDH Town Hall. They are also hosting two forums for the Commissioner candidates. The first is Thursday, October 18th at 7pm at the Nags Head Town Hall. The second will be at the Avon Fire Station on Sunday, October 21st, at 2pm.
